read description ↓Listening & confronting: The two aces of co-operation. The fact is, it's easier to get people to shut up than to listen. Proper and activelistening means taking a step back and allowing yourself to be surprised by theother person. It means not drawing quick conclusions, and thus ultimately leads tobetter decision-making. It is therefore hardly surprising that, according to ProfLyman K. Steil, 51% of good communication depends on the listener. And activelistening is a particularly important skill in joint project work. Targeted questions, skilful paraphrasing, interpreting and reflecting are the basis of effectivecollaboration and innovation. Listening means wanting to understand. Even if thissometimes means an uncomfortable confrontation or dealing with a conflict.
In this workshop we ask ourselfs the questions:
− How does active listening succeed in everyday project work? What frameworkconditions are needed for this?
− How do listeners succeed in asking constructive questions and reflecting?
− What happens when conflicts arise from misunderstandings, and how can thiseven be an opportunity for project work? How do I skilfully address irritationsand create a space for development instead of a rupture?
