Phel, a native Lisp for PHP
Jose Reales - a year ago
Phel is a Functional Programming (FP) language that transpiles into PHP code. It is a dialect of Lisp inspired by Clojure and built on top of PHP's ecosystem. Among other features, it has persistent data structures (lists, vectors, maps, and sets), macros, recursive functions, and a REPL. This project doesn't aim to compete with PHP or any other language. Instead, it's an opportunity to bring the FP paradigm closer to the PHP developers - who are used to OOP principles and usually unfamiliar with FP ideas.
