WeAreDevelopers, Europe's leading platform for the IT community, today announces the first speakers for its WeAreDevelopers World Congress 2024. The WeAreDevelopers World Congress is recognized as the world's largest developer congress, annually gathering over 15,000 software developers, IT experts, and 500 speakers from around the globe in Berlin. The goal is to provide a stage for the tech community, bringing them together in one place with the key figures from the IT scene and the global economy.
The topics discussed include Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, modern software and product development, digitalization, and the role of the tech industry in the global economy. Big footsteps to follow – The speaker history ranges from Sir Tim Berners-Lee to Steve Wozniak
This year's speakers join a lineup of the biggest names the tech world has to offer: In 2023, none other than the founder of the World Wide Web, Sir Tim Berners-Lee, was the opening speaker of the conference. The British physicist, ranked by TIME Magazine as one of the 100 most influential people of the 20th century, is alongside icons like Steve Wozniak, Joel Spolsky, and Garry Kasparov, one of the most significant speakers in the event's history.
Already Part of the Team: The Romeros with Gaming Legend John Romero
Fans of the WeAreDevelopers World Congress know: gaming legend John Romero and star game designer Brenda Romero, have already become a part of the WeAreDevelopers family. In 2023, they both presented John Romero's biography “Doom Guy: Life in First Person” in Berlin. John Romero is one of the world's most successful game designers (Doom, Wolfenstein 3D) and is considered the father of the first-person shooter genre. He will once again be on site for his fans in 2024.
New Sub-Event: Tech Recruiting Insights
The new event format “Tech Recruiting Insights” will focus on HR-tech and the recruitment of IT talents: As an “event within the event”, HR experts such as Alla Pavlova from Riot Games, Eva-Maria Meyr from Dynatrace, and Hung Lee from Recruiting Brainfood will discuss the latest trends, developments, and challenges.
