The WeAreDevelopers World Congress will once again bring world-known leaders from the tech industry to Berlin. The world’s largest developer event will take place on July 27 - 28, 2023, gathering the global software developer community to discuss challenges, trends and innovations of the industry. This year’s motto is "Shaping the Future. Together."

At the WeAreDevelopers World Congress, the developer community will take center stage: more than 10,000 software developers, decision-makers and top-notch leaders are expected to attend. Over the years, more than 1,000 influential speakers and key guests have joined the event, including: Steve Wozniak, Garry Kasparov, Cassie Kozyrkov, Amanda Silver, Joel Spolsky and many more.

This year, WeAreDevelopers World Congress will be officially opened with a keynote by none other than Sir Tim Berners-Lee, the inventor of the World Wide Web. With the development of trail-blazing components such as HTML, HTTP and the world's first web browser, the British physicist initiated a real turning point in the industry and paved the way for the era of the Internet. Among many other accolades, he was recognized as one of the “100 Most Important People of the 20th Century” by TIME Magazine.

"As a developer myself, I understand how important the exchange via platforms like WeAreDevelopers is to the wider community. Developers take great pride in their work, it's about passion for code and pushing new ideas forward. Innovation and disruption are the key drivers here, and the best way to achieve them is to share your knowledge with as many like-minded people as possible. And that’s exactly what WeAreDevelopers stands for", shared Sead Ahmetovic, CEO and Co-Founder of WeAreDevelopers.

WeAreDevelopers World Congress is known for bringing forward groundbreaking news from the most renowned tech leaders during the event, such as Microsoft’s announcement of the official discontinuation of the Internet Explorer, or the first major demo of GitHub’s Co-Pilot presented by their CEO Thomas Dohmke at the 2022 edition of the event. We can therefore look forward to seeing what surprises await guests and audience this year.
