Job description

Insight Global is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer IV to support a classified software development environment focused on modernizing and automating build, deployment, and software delivery processes. This individual will own and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate software build and deployment workflows, and support a fully air-gapped Linux-based development environment. The ideal candidate brings experience implementing modern DevOps practices from outside organizations, particularly around containerization, orchestration, infrastructure automation, and secure software delivery. This role will work closely with software development, systems engineering, and configuration management teams and has potential growth into a technical leadership position.

Day-to-Day Own and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines supporting software development programs Design and implement automation solutions that reduce manual build and deployment activities Manage and improve software build, release, and deployment processes Support containerized application deployment and orchestration strategies Develop Python and Bash automation scripts to improve operational efficiency Integrate security and code quality scanning into software delivery pipelines Partner with software developers, systems engineers, and configuration management teams to streamline development workflows Support modernization efforts within a fully offline, highly secure development environment Maintain and enhance Linux-based development and integration infrastructure

Interview Focus Areas: GitFlow methodology (branching, merging, release strategies) CI/CD pipeline ownership and automation achievements Kubernetes/OpenShift/Rancher experience Air-gapped or classified environment support Python/Bash automation examples Build and release engineering experience Experience improving legacy/manual software delivery processes

Requirements

Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM field and 8+ years of related experience (or equivalent advanced degree experience)
  • Experience supporting DevOps/DevSecOps initiatives in enterprise software environments
  • Strong experience with Git-based version control workflows, including branching, merging, and GitFlow best practices
  • Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience automating software build, integration, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Experience supporting software development teams in a build/release engineering or DevOps capacity
  • Strong understanding of Linux systems (RHEL)
  • Experience developing automation and administration scripts using Python and/or Bash
  • Experience with Bitbucket, Jenkins, or Atlassian toolsets
  • Experience with containerization and container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Rancher

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with CMake and Conan build/package management tools Experience developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions Experience implementing code quality and security tools such as SonarQube, Fortify, or Anchore Experience creating automation frameworks for software build and release processes Previous technical leadership or mentoring experience

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefits eligibility on day one of employment - Package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching (vesting period applies). Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable state law. Primary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $142,200.00 - $213,400.00, Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
