We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled.NET Developer with mandatory P&C (Property & Casualty) insurance experience to join our innovative software engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems and APIs that support our insurance applications. Your expertise will drive the development of scalable, high-performance solutions that meet complex business requirements within an Agile environment. - Design and implement RESTful APIs to facilitate efficient data exchange across distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and contribute to system design using UML diagrams.
- Maintain and optimize relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL databases like MongoDB for high scalability and performance.
- Implement unit testing, debugging, and code reviews to uphold high-quality standards throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Participate actively in Agile software development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Utilize version control tools like GitHub, TFS, SVN, and TFS to manage code repositories efficiently.
- Develop scalable microservices architecture leveraging WCF, SOAP, RESTful APIs, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Contribute to system design for complex applications involving distributed computing, multithreading, and cloud infrastructure deployment.
- Support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline software releases using tools like Visual Studio and Jenkins.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with.NET framework (.NET Core/.NET 5/6), ASP.NET MVC/Web API development.
- Proven P&C insurance domain knowledge with hands-on experience in property & casualty applications.
- Strong front-end development skills with React.js, Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap for UI/UX enhancements.
- Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks such as React Express for building interactive web applications.
- Deep understanding of application design principles including OOP (Object-Oriented Programming), system design patterns, UML modeling.
- Familiarity with web services protocols including SOAP and RESTful API development for seamless integrations.
- Experience working with distributed systems architecture involving microservices and cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure).
- Knowledge of application development best practices including version control (GitHub, SVN), CI/CD pipelines, unit testing frameworks.
- Skilled in database design and management using SQL T-SQL scripts for Microsoft SQL Server or PL/SQL for Oracle databases; experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL is a plus.
- Expertise in debugging complex issues across multiple layers of the application stack; familiarity with Linux environments is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban to deliver iterative value efficiently.
