Our GitOps approach for deploying an Identity Provider and an API Gateway in a SaaS company
Axel Barbier - a year ago
powercloud grew a lot in the last 2 years, and especially grew in a wild and not always structured way. We started to develop new services, we started to hire people, and we did both, more and more and more and all of that, as we were bringing home office on board. At some point, we were having no a certain lack of communication between teams, and a growing number of APIs and not common way of authenticating or accessing them. This the story of, how we used a flavor of GitOps and it helped us deploying a set of technical services (api docu, api gateway, identity provider) in our 100+ accounts on AWS without disturbing neither the developers nor the operation team. This is a story of a team who grew to solve problems by using best practices of all the worlds they knew.
This is a story you might want to hear if you are an architect, a dev or somebody is a DevOps oriented team.
