Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience in frontend development
- Expert-level proficiency in React and Next.js
- Strong understanding of GraphQL and experience consuming GraphQL APIs
- Familiarity with authentication protocols, particularly OpenID Connect
- Experience with state management solutions (e.g. IndexedDB, Redux, MobX, or Recoil)
- Solid grasp of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility
- Proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a startup environment
- Experience in working independently
- Experience building and leading development teams
- Familiarity with low-code/no-code platforms (this would be a strong bonus)
- Experience in the AI or healthcare technology sector
- Experience with cloud deployment and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Language: Excellent communication skills in English are a must, German is a nice bonus.
Scope of Work
We're seeking a Lead Frontend Developer to join our dynamic team as the sole frontend specialist, playing a crucial role in shaping the future of our AI platform. You'll be responsible for architecting, developing, and optimizing our front-end applications from the ground up, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience for our diverse clientele. As we grow, you'll have the opportunity to build and lead a front-end team.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently develop and maintain our frontend applications using React and Next.js
- Collaborate with backend developers to integrate frontend with our GraphQL API (built in Rust)
- Implement and maintain authentication flows using KeyCloak for Open ID Connect
- Architect scalable frontend solutions that can accommodate future growth
- Optimize application performance and responsiveness
- Design and implement our low-code/no-code interface
- Establish frontend development standards, best practices, and documentation
- Stay updated with the latest frontend technologies and industry trends
- Plan for future team growth and be prepared to hire and lead a frontend team
