Senior DevOps Engineer at Eltemate

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• We are working from different offices internationally and/or remote, thus excellent communication and collaboration skills are a must
• Several years experience with Microsoft Azure is a must have
• Infrastructure as Code (we are using Pulumi but any IaC experience is well appreciated)
• 2+ years of experience in backend development
• Experience with at least 2 programming languages, preferably one of them being Python or Javascript/Typescript
• Leadership and mentoring experience

OTHER PREFERRED SKILLS

• Familiarity with GraphQL and its implementation (Apollo, Relay, etc.)
• Startup experience
• Usage and integration of OpenTelemetry
• Grafana LGTM (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir (or Prometheus)) stack
• Worked with Microservices in a production environment

ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a talented and experienced (Senior) DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing robust, scalable, and high-performance cloud solutions for our applications. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to deliver solutions that meet our infrastructure needs. Your leadership and mentorship abilities will be crucial for helping in architecture, large scale debugging efforts, observability best practices and ensuring that the developer teams are creating maintainable software.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the development and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure: We are with Azure for our cloud infrastructure and make use of Pulumi as our IaC provider
• Optimize infrastructure performance and ensure scalability
• Take part in making sure services are scalable and are scaled in the infrastructure (less about dynamically up- and down scaling but more about applications abilities)
• Review current processes, practices and high impact issues and be pro-active about finding (better) solutions
• Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in the field of dev ops and cloud solutions
