Site Reliability Engineer (all genders) at tonies GmbH
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in reliability engineering, with proven expertise in implementing SLOs, SLIs, and other best practices from the SRE methodology
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Go
- Strong skills in Linux systems administration and scripting
- Experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure, as well as bare-metal infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines; experience with GitLab CI/CD is a plus
- Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible/Puppet
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Ability to manage and optimize critical systems in challenging environments
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to ensuring system reliability
- Excellent in communication and collaboration, whether within your team or across departments
Scope of Work
- Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and manage our cloud and bare-metal infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance
- Deployment and Automation: Automate deployment processes to ensure consistent and reliable deployment across environments
- Services Optimization: Optimize our AWS and bare-metal systems for cost-effective operation and peak efficiency
- Reliability Engineering: Define and track SLOs and SLIs, implementing policies that balance reliability with ongoing development
- Monitoring and Alerting: Develop and maintain monitoring systems for real-time issue detection and resolution
- Incident Management: Lead incident response and post-incident reviews, ensuring quick and effective resolution of issues
- Collaboration & Documentation: Collaborate with multiple software teams to enhance infrastructure reliability, ensure knowledge transfer and maintain a comprehensive system documentation
