Software Engineer (Django/Python + React) at SMG Swiss Marketplace Group

• Strong understanding of the team's domain and extensive software development experience.

• Proficiency in Django/Python for backend development and/or React for frontend development—expertise in at least one of these is essential.

• Working with databases on a daily basis

• Experience in conducting code reviews and working in an agile environment.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team, contributing to the overall success of the project.

• Experience with AWS and message queues is desirable

As part of our innovative team, you will primarily work on the Flatfox project, which focuses on the digital rental cycle—from online applications to digital lease terminations.

Key responsibilities

• Apply advanced software engineering principles and contribute to discussions on architecture and design.

• Conduct regular code reviews to ensure optimized and up-to-date code.

• Develop production-ready code with a focus on testability, security, and reusability.

• Implement solutions within an agile team and create clear, understandable documentation.

• Analyze user requirements and design software architectures.

• Maintain and enhance existing applications.

• Contribute to automated testing and actively monitor system stability.

• Participate proactively in ideation sessions and share knowledge within the team.
