Test Engineer - Remote (must be Austria-based) at FTS FINANCIAL TRANSPARENCY SOLUTIONS GMBH
Requirements
FTS is looking for a mid-level test engineer with 3+ years of experience. Applicant should be able to review software code produced by FTS or subcontracted developers, identify and perform acceptance testing, monitor and inspect for obsolescence and outdated content, participate in requirements formation, play a significant role in acquiring and maintaining an ISO 27001 certification, and assist in verification testing of FTS’s enterprise software on client systems (staging environment upgrades and initial deployments).

- Secure transmission of data; HTTPS / TLS / SSL
- Encryption
- SQL Server Database
- Experience with rollouts of enterprise applications
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Software Stack
- MS Windows Server, SQL Server, Microsoft Azure
- .NET core programming, EF Core
- Experience with integration of software in existing heterogenous environments
- Must reside in Austria, have EU citizenship or have existing work permit, work from home, meetings in-person occur in Vienna
- English working language
- Bachelor degree in an applicable Information Technology area
Scope of Work
Following an onboarding period, daily tasks will include code review, preparing for testing of new releases, performing testing of individual modules and integration testing between different modules, supporting deployment of updates or first installations both at clients and in-house, including quality assurance verification testing. Applicant should also contribute with refining user stories, detecting technical dependencies between features and supporting FTS in other ways which this individual suggests she/he can be useful to FTS or towards improving our product.
Operational tasks
- Reviewing and inspecting new software code / functionality
- Preparing and performing UAT
- Periodic review for obsolete or outdated content
- Requirements formation, creation of stories / bugs
- Verification testing of production environments (new installation or updates)
- Contributions toward ISO documentation
- Performing security maintenance tasks
