Requirements
We are looking for someone who likes to:
- Live by our engineering values
- Take ownership of a whole micro service and lead technical topics
- Own and execute on cross-team and cross-component architecture
- Lead a group of engineers towards a common goal
- Influence the companies technical culture
- Champion customer centricity, is able to solve very complex problems with customers in mind
- Challenge product and UX colleagues to fully define the problem, break it down into parts and drive the execution together with the team
- Drive and evolve software development guidelines and processes
- Ship code daily or even more often
- Build state-of-the-art & high quality SaaS products
- Continuously learn, be proactive and curious
- Work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Additionally:
- 5+ years working experience with Node.js (at best in a SaaS environment)
- Proven ability to design & build complex systems in an iterative manner with a focus on customer needs, speed and quality
- Open communication style, strong spoken and written communication skills in English
- Technical leadership skills
- Ability and willingness to work on-site in our Bonn office at least 20% of your time. Kindly note: We are only accepting applications from candidates based in Germany.
Scope of Work
- Implementation of scalable, resilient & secure backend services in Node.js that contain key functionality to support our customers transformation journey
- Option to contribute to the implementation of our UIs based on micro frontends with Angular
- Collaboratively shape the products we build with a product-minded engineering mindset
- Continuous improvement of our architecture, CI/CD pipelines and codebase
