Scope of Work

As a Tech Lead (Backend & DevOps) for our new DataBus project, you will be crucial in defining and implementing a scalable event-driven system enabling seamless integrations across ERP, PIM, CMS, and other commerce platforms.

This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can balance strategic architectural decisions with active development while collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams.

If you enjoy working on scalable distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native solutions, this is the perfect opportunity to make a significant impact in a high-growth, innovative environment.

Your tasks:

  • You define and implement a scalable Pub/Sub event-driven system that enables seamless integrations between commerce applications.
  • You make high-level architectural decisions on data transformation models ("Esperanto"), API design, and cloud-native infrastructure.
  • You set up and manage cloud environments (AWS) using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines).
  • You ensure the system is resilient, scalable, and fault-tolerant, capable of handling large data volumes efficiently.
  • You implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, JWT) and ensure GDPR compliance for secure data exchange.
  • You work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to align technical implementation with business objectives.
  • You support hiring and mentoring Backend Engineers, ensuring best practices in software development, observability, and deployment.
  • You implement logging, monitoring, and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Datadog) to maintain system health and performance.
